This beach is in front of the Morro Mar Casado, from which it originates its name. This hill at low tide can be reached on foot through the sand, but at high tide it becomes an island as this passage is occupied by the sea. Also at low tide when the isthmus way to the island, two beaches stand side by side, the Pernambuco Beach and Mar Casado, but at high tide the two meet. There is no infrastructure in place, but in high season many street work selling drinks and snacks in the sand. Parking is another problem to face in high-traffic times.
